Ghost in a jar with three pence piece connection

March 1st, 2006

HenryYou will be bidding on a jar containing a 1937 three pence piece and a Ghost.

All i know about the ghost contained in this jar is it is called Henry and has some connection to this three pence piece.

Now i dont recomend the opening of this jar, you may release the ghost of henry but feel free to, if you want him to live in your house with you.

Now the clever part of this jar, if you leave the jar out over night the coin may move.. i have had him jared for 3 months now and the coin has moved twice. Quite freaky but really good!

I can say this is a one of item! There cant be another ghost like Henry, he is great!

What is this site?

February 28th, 2006

Madbidz.co.uk was a brainwave By Chris Illman after he sold a tin of heinz baked beans on Ebay for the amazing price of £10.59p (inc £1 P&P). The Media went mad about the story, it had the whole of page 3 in the daily echo and small articles in national papers and was mentioned on the radio several times. This site has been formed to tell the story about all future mad items on Ebay and eventually form a mad Ebay comunity

Bournemouth Daily Echo

February 28th, 2006

“Chris Illman, 24, put the 41 pence tin of Heinz beans up for sale along with the full tale of his disastrous trip to Tesco. The nightclub doorman told how he visited the supermarket at 2am, only to have his motorcycle helmet stolen, his shopping bags split open, his food covered in golden syrup and a tin of beans fall on his big toe. His sorry story attracted sympathy from a host of eBay users all over the world and the beans finally went under the hammer for a grand total of £9.59. Chris, of Bournemouth, said: “I was really shocked. I put it on eBay to try and make people laugh and suddenly I was getting all sorts of messages from people on the other side of the world. “It was such a bad shopping trip and I like to make people laugh so I thought I would do it. “I thought I might make a pound but it just went out of control. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it sold for almost a tenner. “Apparently, it was really big in Australia. The woman who bought the beans actually lives in Bournemouth but was told about it by her family in Australia.”Taken from the Bournemouth Echo
